Harold Bell Wright’s 1907 story about power, hardship, love, and loss is brought to life each evening at the Branson Shepherd of the Hills outdoor drama.
Forever immortalized and ingrained in the memory of our nation – this epic story is played out by over 80 performers, more than 40 horses, and actual burning log cabin, a flock of sheep, and an authentic 1908 DeWitt automobile to that help bring this famous story to life!
More than just another show in Branson – the Shepherd of the Hills tells the story of the Ozarks and local area. Since its inception and first performance in 1960, the property has entertained literally millions of people from around the world who come to see the outdoor play in all of its glory. The outdoor story that unfolds in front of you as you watch the show is something that will create memories for you, your children, and your family or friends!
Your outdoor adventure begins as you enjoy the pre-show which is immediately followed by the main performance. Even the intermission offers fun as the whole audience is invited to join the cast of the show for a square dance hoedown.
