About the Museum
Famous for being the “Most Photographed Building in Branson,” awe, wonders, and intrigue await you at the Branson Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museum!
The building gets its strange appearance from the earthquake of 1812 in New Madrid, Missouri that measured an astonishing 8.0 on the Richter Scale, made church bells ring in Philadelphia, and made the Mississippi River actually run backwards for a time!
Inside the museum you will find an unusual display of the odd, unique, wonderful, intriguing, and truly remarkable as you journey through the artifacts collected by the famed Mr. Ripley as he traveled the globe searching for the unusual! From the micro to the macro, the hard-to-believe to the impossible-to-believe – this attraction is sure to have you wondering in amazement at everything you will see inside the museum!
From the curious to the intrigued, all are welcome to experience some of the strangest sights you will ever see at Ripley’s Believe it or Not! in Branson!

We tend to come in the winter and have been here a couple times. It’s really cool, but wish they would update or change out exhibits as the past couple times it’s been the same stuff.
The Branson Ripley’s Believe it or Not is really unique. If you have ever visited a Ripley’s you’ll know what to expect. For those of you that have never been to one, you have got to go try it. It is full of all those strange oddities you read about as a kid in Robert Ripley’s books. This is one of our family’s favorite inexpensive Branson attractions. It’s also great if you have some teen like we did in our party. If they aren’t as keen on going to see a show, take them here. No one leaves disappointed.
I had visited and really enjoyed it. It was different seeing a cow with 2 heads. I was going to do the train ride in old Branson but with it being Sunday I was a week late because of my participation in the Des Moines Marathon last weekend so my train ride well have to wait until my Amtrak trip to Colorado in February. Instead I decided to celebrate my half marathon accomplishment with a visit to your museum. I am glad I did. So much stuff to see. I was amazed of the statue wearing overalls he may have had too much of mom’s cooking as he can wear my Garmin 405 as a ring instead of a watch. Mom and uncle Gary met me in the gift shop as they purchased souvenirs for my nephews. They regretted later that they sat in the pick up and talked to my uncle Kenneth on the phone. I am excited to share my visit with my marathon friends once I return to Des Moines.
